i have seen a plasterer when applying second coat only going one way and not repeating motion on what he has spread, i asked why and he said you get a flatter finish

me again. when flattening in do you use a wet i inch brush for angles to smooth out.i have also noticed on walls that i have done when dry out i can see wher i have troweled horizontly across the wall from corners .

i have just posted picks of the wall on photobucket/daz1968. i used very little water . in parts wall very powdery and in others fine . i had to bond out certain areas for level well pissed off six years and this s**t happens
i have just skimmed out a wall that was boarded , took my time two coated it but as its drying out it has gone the dark colour but with small patches of beige wich feel really rough i have used little water . what is happening . why is it so hard six years of plastering and its not happening >:(...
