I want to go on a coarse to learn how to use renders. If anyone can advise me which is the better product to use or a good coarse to take. Any advice appreciated.

i bought board and stand from toolstation got it home took out of the box and the board was a piece of mdf and one end was mangled so had to take it back got refund.I had to borrow my mates and will look elsewhere.perhaps ebay :-)

i done a lot of loft conversions and they dont use aqua panel just plasterboard and tile.i,ve never heard of any comebacks.but if it was my job i would go for aqua panel in shower area

I see some fella on rogue traders he would take a reading with one and somehow make it go high and show his clients the reading and get a load of work from it.mugging off old peeps.didn't no they could define distemper.
if you have any lime left give me a shout hahaha.dont go to thick on top coat it will sag especially in the cold and sticking beads is the way as you can slightly adjust if needed.good luck

dont mean to sound dumb but what do you mean by wetting up old dry wall and applied scratch coat.Are you saying you layed on dry wall adhesive then scratched it then set on top?
you do no that you should put 2 coats on when skimming and if you use a trowel that is not worn in your work will tear to bits when it starts to dry.so be warned.why dont you artex it i,ve heard its on its way back,a nice bark roll.:-)

if you want to slow a set down on a domestic i just turn off the rads in the room im working.Or if your a bit slow on the trowel and your chasing your sets dont put as much on and do a exta set in your day.With the extra set keep it small and add some dirty water with it to send it off depending...
