Is there anything you dont know big segs? I was worried that the chase might crack when the pipes are hot but I 'll definitely take your word for it.

So would you not recommend bonding then? I've just bought it for this job, not that that matters like but I'm starting at 7.30 and the shops wont be open then.

When you've skimmed a ceiling how long do you wait before putting the artex on? Do you wait for the plaster to completely dry out or not?

How long do I wait for the finish before I start with the artex? Also is it better to cut the board the exact size of the hole and fix it in with battens so that its just about flush with the ceiling level or better to have the board cut slightly longer and have the board recessed in the hole?

Ok i think I will board then, the only problem with that it that the doors and windows aren't recessed into the wall and so it would be difficult to put small strips of plaster board down the insides, so whats the remedy for that then or do you just get on with it the best you can?

Thanks church, well its not worth my time trying do the job myself and potentially making a mess a being left with all the excess materials, I might as well get someone else to do it.

How much do you think it'll cost to get all the materials to do this job, i'm guessing that I'll prob have to buy in quantities much more than I need. And how much would you charge to patch it to a customer? If the difference isn't massive i think i'll just pay someone to do it.

JUst a quick question, I always use a 6" brush to put my pva on the walls but i'm thinking that a roller might be better. How do yous apply yours? and do you use different for walls and ceilings?

This is a good point, i'm curious to see what everyone else thinks about it. I've always known tacky and nothing else.
