might have to have a look at that mm22 sounds alright to me, perfect for domestic sites.
leon i cnt seem to find anywhere round my way (admittedly might not have looked everywhere) where i can physically walk in and buy some of your stuff, ive seen a few trowels knocking about but not a range of your tools. do you just sell online or do you sell to outlets that will carry a range of your products

just a thought and i think most people will agree with me, definatly do not put the handle that comes with the plastic trowel blade holder on normal trowel. theyre horrible.

Thanks Nick. We know the new handles on the plastic trowels aren't too popular. Is it just the 'nub' close to the shank that you don't like or is there anything else? We aren't planning on introducing this on our finishing trowel.

I did get a third trowel and it had the handle you're talking about, similar to MT but that felt even heavier than the other trowels so sold it on. Funnily enough I went in the van and remembered I'd bought an 11" refina a while back, looked down it and that had bent the wrong way aswell even though I've used it a handful of times. so you may need to look at that. Maybe flynnys just looking. Regarding the hop up, I'm after the 1500x300 but the higher one, think its 18" high. I don't know about anyone else but I think you're trowels are wide enough as it is, in fact I use a 4" wide trowel at the minute, any wider than 5" feels like a shovel. Thanks for taking the time to answer the questions by the way.

Hi Beddy, you're more than welcome to send it back into us. It's better for us if we know that there's something wrong with our products. Give us a call and you can mention that you spoke to me about it, then we can have it sent back in and we'll be able to look at a refund or replacement for you.

I've just checked the system for the hop up you're after. We've had a delivery from our supplier this morning. For L1500xW300xH520mm (20" high) it's £129 + carriage + VAT. Carriage is £9.95 next day or £6.95 'B' service. Also have the same hop up but 1300mm length for £119.

Thanks for the feedback on the trowel.

Cheers,
Leon.

any chance you could get some trowel sharpeners?

I'd buy one

Not at the moment I'm afraid. I've been on the lookout for one for a while but haven't found anything that's particularly good. We will be going to an exhibition in Cologne in early March and this is one of the products we're on the lookout for. I'll let you know as and when we start supplying them.

Hi jr,

We offer quite a large range of specialist tools and equipment so it's very difficult for us to get resellers or distributors to take on the full range or even a good proportion of it. What is it you're after and maybe I can have a look and see if there is anyone nearby? Failing that, if you want to have a feel of the stuff, we are more than happy for you to buy whatever you think you may like and just the return the stuff that you don't use.

Hope that helps,
Leon.

Cheers Leon, £300 for a set of hop ups is too much money at the minute, think I'll stick with my £30 screwfix pair for now.

my old boss has got two of your hop ups and while I admit they are very good and take some punishment I can't justify spending 300 notes, yet. I always have 2 hop ups so you aren't moving them as often and when it comes to polishing the opposite way, you can do the length of the room in 1 go most of the time. Plus they come in handy for putting planks or boards on where its no good just having the one. What's that you say Leon? Two for the price of one? Oh go on then.

I bet it's "Buy one, get none free" :RpS_thumbup:

If it was down to me Steve I'd give you a free trowel and 4 tickets to the next Rangers v Celtic match :RpS_thumbup:

Including travel & hospitality as well :RpS_biggrin:

I think I should get a deal because I've had 3 trowels bend the wrong way, don't you al?

Did you say you've only held onto one of the trowels? If you can get it back into us, shouldn't be a problem to take what you paid for the trowels off the steps. Either way, I'll keep you posted on any special offers on them, although none planned as far as I'm aware.

Yeah I've still got the 11" but managed to bend it back yesterday so I'll keep it. Thanks for the offer all the same Leon

hi leon im not really looking or anything in-particular at the mo, i know soon i need a new s*p*r*lex i broke the plastic blade and then some barsteward stood on the blade holder, and in a few months ill be wanting a mixer had a look last night as much as i think the mm22 is perfect for domestic (predominatly where i work) i want the mm30, "POWER" haha, reason im waiting for a while is although your stuff is pukka (part from trowels at the mo:RpS_wink:) i already have a mortgage to pay and would need to remortgage to buy from ya haha......hmmmmm holiday or new refina toys, what do i do

Leon did you know you can get all of the Eibenstock mixers on ebay cheaper than Refina do them?

Hi leon, nice to see you on here, looking forward to hopefuly seeing your offers listed on here as i only live about 1/2mile from you so im in refina quite often anyway. Have you any plans of making the counter in shop any bigger so we can see more rather than going through the cataloge, i still remember when you used to be in the old shop and customers could walk around and actually see and touch/pick up the tools which gave you a better idea of what it was like.

I don't think think you're the first person to want the MM30 just because it's 'the daddy'. Bear in mind you'll get £100 free tools with the MM30 when you get around to it, that's £100 worth of the ex VAT prices, so more like £120.

Cheers.

Hi beddy,

Yes we are aware that you can find the odd mixer cheaper on ebay, but I think that's the case with most things these days. I think the chap that puts them on ebay is based in Northern Ireland. I've just had a look on there and the MM21 is listed at £239, so £20 cheap than us. However, we always try to provide very good customer service and I'm sure if anything goes wrong with your mixer from ebay you won't have a year's warranty for trade use, 24h collect and return service or the possibility of a loan mixer whilst yours is being repaired.

With the top end models, MM22 and MM30, which I couldn't see on there at the moment, you can find lower list prices than ourselves but we work out cheaper if you consider the £80 and £100 free tools you get with the mixer, in addition to the service mentioned above.

Hope that helps,
Leon

Hello, nice to see someone local on here!

We still have the old shop where we keep spillover stock for big machine etc, but the lease on that is up in July sometime. So we will be either doing some building work here to give us a bit more space or have a pretty big sale! I think the trade counter is a bit crap at the moment and would like to do something a bit smarter with it, all comes down to cost really. I'll make a note that you'd like to see more tools on the wall though.

Cheers!

Hi Flynnyman,

I the trowels on at £25 are the FX trowel and go up to 16", these are the pre broken in trowels with the premium handle. The PX range (which I'm guessing is the one you already have) goes up to 20" and has the black bits on the handle. I'm afraid we are out of stock of the 20", but do have 18" in stock in the PX. They aren't on offer, but give me a call and I'll see what I can do for you.

Cheers,
Leon

do u have a video of the stx515s spraying finish

Not at the minute, but that is top of my agenda for videos, I've asked the guys at polar to give me some footage ASAP. I will post up on here and the Refina youtube channel as soon as I have a video.

the mm30 is the best mixer around money wise in my opinion, i bought one of you about 7 years ago and got £100 free tools at the time, and another about 3 years ago as a back up and ive never needed to use it as my original is still going strong wth out a service or replacement bushes either.
my only bug bear with you [Refina] is your expensive postage costs.
have you thought about maybe doing a 10% off voucher for plastering forum members?

what are the tools??

Sorry it's not very clear there. You'll get £100 credit on your account to spend on whatever tools you like, aside from those on special offer where you'll have to pay list price.

I don't know if you saw earlier in this thread owls, but we offer £9.95 as our standard 24 hour service on pretty much everything. You can request our 'B' service for £6.95, which is a little slower.

With regards to the voucher, this is something I'm considering at the moment and discussing with Danny in the next few weeks.

Thanks
