If your charging good money then there should be no need to work weekends...doesn't really feel like work for me as I love it...so the odd weekend here and there no probs.
 
Stating the obvious but there's only 7 days in a week, you only get one life, why on earth would anyone work 7 days a week all the time. Each to their own but it's a big and Interesting world out there and plastering is not something that's going to make you feel like you've lead a fulfilling life when your old and worn out.

there is a zoo about 2 miles away thats got tigers and stuff....skeg-vegas is a few miles away. Other than that there isnt much for kids as its quite a quiet little village.
 
If u have option of working 7 days think yourself lucky.it's your choice if your self employed. I'm cracking 50 still do 7 days if needed.
They are plenty of lads trying to scrape a wage out of this game so be grateful if you have option.when I look back missing years with the children it had to be done to get by,it is what it is,my father had to do it as well.just life.if you don't need the extra money don't do it.
 
Trouble is we all believe our end is some way off place in the future .
When truly it can be your last at anytime clicking the door shut never to open it again, killed on the road , heart attack falling ill death comes to us in many ways some sudden others slow n painful. We build and collect for a future that may not come .
The govt have an average life expectancy just below your retirement age, so amongst the necessities of life you owe it to yourself to live a little.
I guess the balance in all things .

Im in all this weekend like , always try for one day off but xmas time and ppl wanting stuff finished etc . Not a bad day tomorrow will be waiting for the render in a fire place to pick up thats only bad bit !

Half way through it mate , well half way through the base coating lol . Between weather and no gear left been a f**k on , so just been dropping inside the same house aswell . If ur quiet in jan u can give is a hand with the acrylic if u fancy a bash at it like

You have to draw the line somewhere..
Them customers don't give a fook if you kill your self , As long as you get there job done!

I think most of the guys that say they LOVE plastering have only been in the trade 5 minutes,@FreeD for example.

If u enjoy it that the main thing. But I still think u need a life what the point of b the richest man in the cemetery . I've seen people whith money and ther so depressed I think to my self money does not make u happy it makes u greedy for more and makes u misrable
 
Ive took this weekend off through being knackered.......didnt help not remembering how I got upstairs last night.
Sick off looking at it.
Booze and work.
Going to see santa today....gonna sit on his knee and have breakdown i think !!
 
I work 7 days as and when I need to but then I take time off here and there and travel so it all works out in the end... the winters I bust my gut then in the summer it frees up time to enjoy the sunshine :D
 
Me plasterer cousin came to help today two mixes was done in one between us glad he came both of us ready for Christmas now he finished now and drove off with all the joys of Christmas ...idiot me got Monday Tuesday and Wednesday morning then I'm off ..can't wait.

Almost 10 years now bud...personally I find it really rewarding when a customer is absolutely made up....but I guess most of you don't get that as they probably want you out of the house as quick as poss, crap job, messy, poor customer service, giving it all that.

Can't u do a good wage in 6 days ?
 
Work to live not live to work !!!

Guilty of it myself and cost me a lot so now I only try to do Mon - Fri
