Self employed payment

No I completely agree if anything it will probably be worse in September as most stuff should be back to normal. Schools are nothing like building sites unless you go round kissing and hugging the other blokes there, then sucking your thumb, everyone on the site using the same tools and all sitting down to eat together lol
In my experience I’d say it’s worse than kids.

What you done with the real Owls?
I was all for the lockdown early doors and the objective of it. but now 2 months down the line, it needs a concise route out, and I’ve lost a bit of faith in where the governments going with it.

It’s laughable really , the government had no clue , no strategy and didn’t give clear guidelines, you all chose a viewpoint that suited , all together all clapping , now it’s oh wait a minute

Government has not done well, apart from payment,im still on lockdown, and clapping every thursday.
And not ashamed to say it.

Of course they haven’t got a clue ! Who has??
They’ve winged and preyed it like every country has! Hopefully lessons will be learned, because there will be a next time

This country despite warnings and information from watching other countries a few weeks ahead of here still ended up with the highest casualty rate , but great flappers / clappers

We didn't choose a viewpoint that suited, we stayed home while thousands a day were dying, today it was just over 100 so don't act like we've changed our tune. We were never going to stay in indefinitely, it was to get over the worst of if

God , why not suck cock , you can’t be straight for ever , you’ve been fed a narrative, you were never asked to stay at home , they in the end had to tell you to go to work , because you couldn’t get that you weren’t asked to stay at home , you bleated like a bitch on here calling people scabs etc and now “ oh it’s not so bad I’ll work “ the truth is people will start dying again but there won’t be another lock down , they’ve worked out that they can handle the numbers

I was fed a narrative but wasn't asked to stay home? You realise how little sense that makes yeah?
No I wasn't asked to stay home, instead I came to my own conclusion that I should, to my own financial detriment for my family's and everyone else's families safety.
c**t

Government may not be perfect but could have been a lot lot worse if Corbyn was in charge.

What's going on with Corbyns brother suddenly come out of the woodwork some hippy crack crazy getting airtime??

The government are paying you to stay at home , nothing’s changed . The virus is still here
c**t

Again you are missing the point Ive made twice. Deaths have fallen from 1000 a day to 100 and something. That's what's changed, and it shouldn't be difficult to grasp

Again you dope , ask yourself why , it’s like the rain , if you go out you’ll get wet , if you stay in ,mmm , with people returning to public transport and work In large numbers , what do you thinks going to happen ,

Your rhight m8 deaths have fallen from this virus. Dont take me wrong it time to move forward to protect children and adult mental health to protect the economy OK it a risk but life is a risk. You can go out this morning and get killed by a car so on. .0ne thing I've got to say once this over hope everbody rembers that 450 people that die in UK every day of cancer and other s**t and forget about being selfish and greed.

No s**t it's going to go up. That's why people need to not be dicks about it. I'm working 2-3 days a weeks because I'm only picking jobs I feel are the safer ones, plus I've decided to never work a 5 day week again, life's to short. I'm not working in houses with older people, only working in empty rooms that have been empty for a number of days, and extensions. Not working in landings and hallways as you know people will be walking through all day.

A nother point if people don't sort ther heads out and get ther priorities rhight in life. Things like vaccination for kids measles for example.. covid19 will be least of our worries..

The government did ok , a balanced approach
The care home sector has been exposed for a lack of management hygiene which I put down to individual homes ( some got away with it by luck ) , it is their specialist subject but they didn't take responsibility for an independent early total lockdown
Money is tight in that sector and the compromise is always between living in a home or a sterile unit

The staff need to be earning more money. That’s a crap job for minimum wage. It’s no wonder the homes weren’t spotless clean when they’re paid peanuts. Corners would have been cut in hygiene.

the hospitals needed to free up 90k bed for patients and the government sent elderly people back to care homes without testing them for covid. They even sent some back that had tested postive. How is that the care homes support ??

my Nan is in a care home she has copd and they’ve thankfully not had one case.

so to blame care homes is a bit harsh, they were sent the patients back to free up beds.

This is a good point on care homes.

I wasn't directly putting the blame on care homes , they have a budget , seasonal flu and similar bugs often sweep through an individual care home with a cull effect
Theirs is a balance of home and care , elderly don't wish to live in a perpetual isolation tank
It's the hospital that decides if a patient gets released back to a home , they are aware of situation not the home or government

Up until 13th march government said in official documents that it was "very unlikely" people in care homes would be effected by covid-19. Care homes were simply following government advice

Good plan

Thought the 19 was related to year it was discovered

Yes, quite right.

I was reading yesterday that they've identified more than 30 mutations of Covid-19 now. So it's looking less likely that a vaccine will be found as it's like the common cold or flu where a vaccine will help with some/most but now all variants.

Looking more and more like it's going to be one of those 'learn to live with it' things.
