Hi everyone,

I have just joined this forum to hopefully get some advice on how to rectify my poor K rend install. I unfortunately got the wrong guy for the job. I hired a builder who has done work for my family and they have been happy with the work. I had several quotes and he wasn’t the cheapest or the dearest. I know I should have gone with a specialist and I’ve learned from my mistake. My builder hasn’t scratched the K rend as he said this type doesn’t need scratching. It’s the K1 and I called K rend themselves who confirmed it needs scratching. I have had the whole back of the house done and a small section of my garage before asking him to stop. I have asked him not to come back. Please can I have some advice if this can be fixed and how much do you think this would cost? North west area. Thanks

It wants beading again and re rendering there's products you can paint on that will be cheaper than base coat

Get some up/down lights on it will look good. Did a nice job of keeping the line under the sill to be fair.

I think most would charge around 12-15K for warrantied job

How much did you pay £2K?

12-15 for one elevation and the extension...don't be silly.
