As per the title. I've been knocking off Lime haired mortar in a couple of large rooms and some of it is nice and firm so doesn't need knocking off. I'll be replacing like for like but when it comes to where the lime plaster will go over the original would Micro do as a bonding agent to key the walls?

Thanks

No micro wont do it afraid, you'll have to put on dg27 from baumit its a silicate based permeable consolidation primer thats gives good adhesion properties on the old lime , but its still permeable , so the plaster can still breathe, hope this helps stu
Thanks @stuy

Sorry Rossi i may have got that wrong as you are using lime to re skim with?
DG27 is good stuff just like using micro or betakontakt but white.

No worries James. Using Mike Wye for the plaster and he sells DG27 so seems like that's the stuff to go for

Can dg27 go on top of brick? I am scraping the wall back to the old lime plaster but done spots went back to brick. Can I use dg27 for them??
