Hi.

So we are having our kitchen done and we specifically said to have whole kitchen plastered. He hasn't plastered behind the kitchen sink wall at all except the window and has fitted the cuboards already. He also hasn't painted in areas below the worktop area. Also we have Hugh holes on top of the boiler probably why we have mice. So hence why we wanted the whole Kitchen plastered. We understand they cannot plaster behind the boiler but outside those areas should be plastered right? Would like to hear from people who had theirs done and anyone in the trade or have been. The guy is refusing to do it like many other things that he should be doing. So would like to know should he be plastering atleast the top part of the boiler. Thanks.

Lot of smoke and mirrors when fitting kitchens as so much gets covered over with cupboards and tiles.

Get plumbers round to strip plumbing out and boiler. Get whole wall plastered. Get painter to decorate whole wall. Get plumbers out to reinstate all plumbing simples then you will be happy and can move forward with units. If you can’t afford that crack on as is

Plastering round the double socket looks below par.

As for the rest of your complaint no plasterer worth his salt would agree to plaster those areas unless the obstructions were removed beforehand.

Would be more cost effective for kitchen fitter to box/ cabnet them areas.

Plenty of times we've done kitchens and been told not to do behind units. I prefer to do them to be honest but if it's for a builder they think they're saving money if we don't.

do not pay him
get it plastererd, even the bits you can not see, otherwise it will be eating you up
p.s. you also need to get a plasterer on the job , as it is painfully obvious you have not had a one on the job yet
