I don't think 10mm gonna do too much to be fair, usually we put 100mm celotex over the slab then ufh then screed overThey go down first, stop you spending money on heating the slab.
What do you mean fold back?I'm doing a wet room and I'm also putting the boards down first then the mat with a tight coat over the top. Make sure you fold it back where you will be fixing to the floor, the boards will deflect more heat up rather than loosing it through the floor.
What's alternative and what's the costs in comparison? Why you want electric UFH? There expensive to run, they alright in a small bathroom but not for full size rooms.

Fk that, electric it isWell the electric is the alternative or retro fit of the water UFH, but id only do water UFH if anything bigger than a bathroom, much less painful cost wise in long term.
But you'll have to break up existing slab, lower it, then celotex then ufh then screed, probably cost more than the electric as a set up cost

How's your water done Dannywe have electric heating in our place.. not under floor but electric rads and they are soooooooo efficient... we have one in every room and we only need to have 2 on in our place.... and its a big place to be honest... Our water is electric heated...
If I was a landlord I doubt I would bother with anything else![]()
Still sounds expensive, I didn't include the boards but it was under £200 I will look for the receipt, I got it from tile giant. With a 10% trade discount I'm getting 23m2 200w mat underfloor heating for kitchen with touchscreen thermostat and 6m2 with digital thermostat for hall. Including insulation coming to £1130. Can't get cheaper anywhere else.

Awesome gonna be Redoing a rental no heat at the mo or gas so rather than paying for a connection...We have a non vented hot water cylinder.... keep it hot 24 hours a day... we both have long showers and I love a bath... our shower pressure is not great downstairs though
The fan heaters that go in your kick boards are easy to fit and heat a room up very quick don't know what they are like on cost of usage but a quick and cheaper alternative.we have electric heating in our place.. not under floor but electric rads and they are soooooooo efficient... we have one in every room and we only need to have 2 on in our place.... and its a big place to be honest...
