Flinnyman vs the skimming machine

Ok, so finally we are getting somewhere ! I am willing to contribute and for sure many of us will do it to see who came first. What are the 2 k for Ryan? Maybe we can help a bit, but hope it's not only day wages and traveling expenses.

Oh, almost forgot! Thanks for the offer flynny, but I think this is your show and now is your moment. If I have to work next to you, you will look like a real t**t! Saying that, my money is on you and let's not forget this challenge is about speed and quality finish, not wear and tear!

Materials, boards, the area, people to set this up, organising time etc. Ensuring there is power and water available - we did a demo day at our place and it cost in time and materials (food as well) about £1800.00 - that's half the size of what this would be and far less material

I guarantee if I went there dressed as a clown I would look less of a dingbat than you. You might not have the balls to do something that's risky we all know that from here, your just a nodding dog, now unless you are going to contribute anything to this forum I suggest you shut up coz your sounding more and more of a brown nose as the days go on.
All right myrtle keep ya knickers on, I was only saying , I mean think about it , all on film and the machine is going to obviously obliterate you for putting the gear on .
2 things with this thing is bg recommend thistle spray not multi and even if it was multi it don't matter who was the faster at getting it all on the plaster is going to dry at the same time roughly anyway man or machine, so there will be no winner as such.
The only thing that will be shown is you bombed out in the corner done in and the machine guy having a coffee nice and chilled.
What's the point of tagging in all these companies when all you have ever done is slag them off.

Not even one machine sale then Ryan !lol, think big !lol

If , for some reason, PFT Central is not able to participate , what about PFT Original? They still sell the best machines out there! It's what I am reading on here anyway. Flynny will love to have a Ritmo L !

It's alright saying the machine can do this and that and is faster and quicker, because that's what you have heard but unless you see it for yourself then it's hear say. I've seen plenty of videos of the machines in use and once you have seen one you have seen them all, boring and repetitive. If I was selling machines and this offer was made to me I would jump at it but to be fair I wouldn't of waited for the offer. We've seen a similar vid but like was said that was a set up and geared for the hand baller to fail it's embarrassing watching. @MixM8 you interested?
I think the main man is backing down flynnman!!
He is really busy!!!

As I sprayed mp finish for 10 years I'll say how I did it. Even tho this is about spraying multi. I would only spray when it was a full house. It would be 2 plasterers no labour. The machine i had didnt mix. So this is how we did it. Take the machine in. I'd set the machine up. My mate would mix up and fill out scrim and beads and do the reveals. We would then mix up the amount of bags we would need. Then spray it and flatten it. Wash the machine and bucket out it would take about 10 min max to wash up. Then b4 the last trowel we would spray again and wash out. Then give the first hit the final trowel. I never tape up windows as we did the reveals and beads by hand when filling out. It made the days skimming easy. I've tried spraying multi a good few times but it wasn't worth it. I can only comment on the machine i had about spraying multi it was s**t. Mp finish was great to spray. I'd love to see this race with multi being used. Just because my machine was s**t at spraying multi It don't make another machine s**t. But I'll have to see it to believe it.

Flynnyman if your that hyped about it and want to try and prove people wrong it would be a lot easier to ring a few machine lads round your way/close and offer them a challenge. The Loser pays the meterage that both teams have covered to the winner in the day.
If your that confident it won't be an issue, same goes for them.

Or get your teams sorted and find a contractor close who will host it one of there sites. This is more realistic. They get the work done pay the same m2 price and the loser only loses that day's money.
Maybe we could have a whip round so the loser will still earn something.

I think it should be a run of meterage over a few days aswell to give a more
accurate example if it's about speed and finish?
One day/one room isn't proving nothing, you'll win that, most spreads will.

You keep going on about sponsors but it ain't gonna happen. You may get one or 2 but that's it. You won't get BG sponsoring it, it's nothing to gain for them and it's only blokes with cocks out swinging giving it Barry.
The winner might get some free tools from Ryan if there lucky but the way it's going he won't and doesn't need to supply nothing. He's got nothing to prove really, he sells his machines without all this, Same as the PFT guys, they sell regardless .

It's the people without the machines who seem to be making the most noise about man being quicker. I've never sprayed multi but on a days work I'll say man, if you have a week worth I'll say machine.

It would be very interesting to see not only the m100 but the Pft ritmo in this battle between man and machine after all it's also marketed as a skimming machine as well !!!?
I do feel though that many are missing the point about machines it's not only about speed but about making our life easier and so prolonging our working life buy taking the heavy work element out of the equation I don't doubt the brave spread taking on the machine is quick but I know the machine will still be turning out the same m2 day in day out without the aching joints bad back and dodgy knees ... Good luck to him I know who my monies on

To be Fair I have spoke to two different PFT dealers and they both said it was not a great idea

I've also read with interest that if the spread wins he wants a machine as a prize !!! So if he loses does he give the value of the machine to Rayn and one stop shop ??
