Probably get crucified for this but f**k it....before anyone says it customer said just float up to the edges of the fireplace as he's putting some sort of metal decorative cornering (didn't really understand but did as I was told)View attachment 13700 View attachment 13701

Look good when it's painted, should have pointed that brick in with a bit of hardwall while you were at it

Good effort mate I would of went with sand and cement and left the sand and cement showing rather than skim on the internal edges.

True but not the best bit of advice. Especially when they've had the fire fitted the new carpets down the painting all done and wood work finished.
They don't really appreciate having to fix it after all that do they even if it costs them nothing.
