Fixing bad Sand & Cement

Highbuild is a bit like artex is now........have tried before to give a smooth finish with it but gave up. It's for rollering. On the plus side, it's easy peasy to put on, so cheapish labour costs.

Won't be cheap to sort that's for sure someone else's problem and trying to save money will be passed onto the bloke who will take it on,where abouts in south east London Kent are you

Builder has a new plasterer that also suggested ewi base then top coat so think that's what we will go for. Fingers crossed

Personally I'd wet dash straight onto, the rough render finish would actually make a good backing coat for wet dash finish, would be the cheapest most reliable finish

seems that maybe he was a good skimmer but out of his depth with render.... unfortunately a lot are like that these days... but thats partly down to renderers do rendering all year and so the skimmers do skimming all year...
It's down to the guy that did the inside is not a plasterer but only a skimmer he is not even a trades man. If you can't do all internal and external you are not a plasterer it's that simple.

Thanks @theclemo i actually ended up getting recommended that product by a friend, spoke to Bauwer here who gave loads of advise so will be using that, plasterer starts next week :) will let you know how he gets on

Thanks for the advice lads.
