Thing is if it does let you down for even one day that £175 doesn't look so cheap does it?
Or maybe get one and get the Refina fixed?

It’ll be hardwall mainly and dab, rendering I don’t really enjoy anymore second thoughts just thinking of just buying another battery for a dewalt mixer tbh I don’t think two would be enough for mixing hardwall and skimming
There always handy to have on the van though just incase something like you forget youre batteries after charging them lol
And it’s pretty cheap for a decent corded mixer I guess

Get one, only whisks I use now. I used to pay to have the megas repaired for what these cost. Only downside is you have to keep your finger on the trigger. It will mix anything in abundance. I’ve done 30 bags or drywall day after day with it.

I’ve 2 battery ones, I only use them for skim. Kills the battery for anything else.

Ah and there was me thinking of getting one as well. Won't bother if they're only any good for skim, I'll just carry on using my stick and plodger.

It mixes no problem, you would probably need 3 batteries or 2 12amp ones. Mine come with 2 9amp I fit a taller paddle on one of mine. I’ve mixed 7bags of render with it in the big tub. Does do it but moans like John

That’s exactly what I was thinking mate even to get the brushes repaired could cost half a dewalt mixer and I don’t want to burn the batteries out either, two of the lads I work with there cordless seems to want to speed up and slow down and they say the batteries are on the way out

Yes just run them till there’s nothing left in the batteries before charging. The first whisk I bought when they come out is definitely better that the second one I got about 2 years ago. Maybe 3

The 240v one is about 5 year old. On to its second paddle after wearing the first one to nothing till it split. Nothing else has been replaced on it.

When the brushes are shot do sparks fly everywhere and the motor makes a really nasty metal on metal grinding sound?

Oh that's a pet hate of mine when blokes knock f**k out of the paddle, bits of hard plaster end up in fresh batch.
Takes 30 seconds max to give paddle a spin in dirty water bucket and a quick wipe down.
Life time of paddle is triple.

Used mine today there deffinately noisy you wouldn’t want to be mixing up at 6am
Bit heavier too
There very fast probably faster than the refina but aren’t rated for a 8” whisk which doubt matters doubt they will blow up but who knows
Biggest problems are the triggers they aren’t protected at all and there’s a crap spring coil thing which is open to the elements
When you stand youre whisk up I normally put mine on the handle and the motor so the whisk isn’t in the floor this is the best time too drop plaster into one of the triggers
It’s a brilliant whisk but big cons I think it’s a matter of time till a trigger or the wheels been replaced

My lads one has sounded like a rocket from day one.
Not like a festool or the old refina/eibenstock machines.
But it's still churning gear out and has NOT been maintained.
He likes to gently detail his paddles.
With a club hammer.
