The thing is Aidan, and we’ve talked about this before is that it’s good to let your guard down a little. Not too much, but a little because being able to laugh at yourself is an attractive trait and not a weakness.
I used to get a lot of s**t off
@paulf and many others on here. It was just a bit of fun, but I took it the wrong way and reacted badly. Funny how things change , but because of Pauly’s aunty Dorris and a few other key players behind the scenes, we decided to collaborate and CHD was born. It was a slow and difficult start, but we developed a series of priducts to compete in a very difficult market led industry. We are now at a point where we have spotted a major gap in the market and now we have developed a priduct that is going to be a major hit.
There has been a massive resurgence in canal/narrow boats over the last few years and many have succumbed to fatigue given their age. We have developed a priduct that will keep these amazing vessels alive and well for many years to come. This is an exciting time as our new priduct “barge render” is going to take the boating community by storm. Forgot welding, sanding and painting, “barge render” is the future for these old work horses requiring only basic tools and a simple application technique.
Included in the kit are…
Barge render (patent applied for)
Waterproof scrim
Pva
A snorkel
The secret is in the binding polymers of the render allowing it to set quickly in the water creating an all encompassing and protective shell. This will negate major and costly repairs in the future and is totally diy able depending on your lung capacity.
This wouldn’t have happened unless I took a step backwards and realised the skill set I was dealing with on here. We are literally at a point where CHD as a company is about to float as long as long as we can prevent the boats dropping a foot or so in the water.
Perhaps try Zinsser cover stain after sanding
