    Hello to all, and i need advice

    Happened to me once really bad but it covered fine with paint. Painter spotted them in with a brush then 2 coats of paint and it was mint. He's not done anything wrong so he wants paying. Only way there's no risk of these things happening are if you fork out the money and rip the ceiling down...

    Hi all you Experienced Plasterers,

    Pre grit. Expensive but should kill the suction. Paint it on, leave it 24 hours, scrape any large clumps that stand proud then skim away.

    Apps for quotes & invoices

    If you put your info on the invoice and they pay through their bank nobody should get a cut. If I'm doing a deposit or part payment I put on the invoice 1/3 payment etc and do multiple invoices. The one I use also logs what you've invoiced for then at the end of the year you can calculate what...

    Monthly payments for work??

    A while ago someone I know rendered a large industrial unit, was obviously a lot of dough so did a payment plan as a one off. Few months down the line they went 'bust' and left the country. I'd steer clear of that shite

    Multi availability.

    I was the first person there when that delivery dropped. I went back next day they had 2 pallets still. Day after they still had board finish. They're really good at looking after spreads

    tradies

    We're all cut from different cloth mate, I think I'd be lucky to be able to graft at this at 41 let alone 71. First time my back went I was 15 so maybe it's genetics.

    tradies

    All the trades have pros and cons. Off the top of my head here's some of the things I don't like: I'm not even 30 and I have the joints of an old crone. My hand is that calloused it looks like I have a serious chronic masterbation problem. My lungs are probably buggered from years of not wearing...

    In all seriousness mate, I hope you've not paid him. Get a reputable spread in to fix his f**k up, ask about and find someone that comes recommended

    Plasterers only to buy plaster campaign

    In an ideal world we'd all be able to get plaster, I see your point but there's no way to police who's buying plaster for DIY purposes or resale. It would take 5 minutes to verify people buying it for actual trade but would be open to abuse. If people stopped buying from these people then they'd...

    Plasterboarding a ceiling. Fire regulations

    One 12.5mm plasterboard meets the minimum requirements, I can't remember if it's 30 mins or an hour. The fire boards are a big increase and probably worth using if you don't mind spending the extra dosh.

    Plasterers only to buy plaster campaign

    I agree these parasitic traders are to blame, but for most of us it's our livelihood so we don't care who's buying it, just that we can't get any. No plaster means no work, no work means no money. How are you going to try and argue that having an undecorated room is the same as not being able to...

    @the apprentice

    It makes ya laugh don't it. Shame he gave it the big man act on his fake profile then blocked me. I'd of asked if he wanted any Avon
  36. P

    @the apprentice

    He's just upset nobody will buy his multi she hasn't sold Avon for like 2 years so he's gone through her whole page for whatever reason. Thin skinned

    WHERE IS THE PLASTER?????

    Your analogy isn't 100% accurate. I get furloughed people are using the time to improve their homes, but Plastering isn't like cleaning, cleaning would be considered essential. A DIYer skimming a couple walls could potentially wait. People are right when they are saying their livelihoods are...

    Black splashes on new render?

    Depends on the size of the patch required, anything bigger than your fingernail will stick out quite a bit. You can get paint matched to the colour you chose for touching in but it will be visible at the distance you've taken these pictures from. If I were you I'd get in touch with whoever did...

    WHERE IS THE PLASTER?????

    Agreed on what the problem is, but they can't just refuse to serve them. They can't sort out who's a genuine DIYer and who's not. Would love to see trade only for a few months while this s**t off eBay goes off in the sheds.

    Black splashes on new render?

    I've seen that once, pvc cleaner used on double glazed window and it ran down the rubber seal
