try skimmin opposite walls mate, ive only just started doing this as im a numb f*cka n stood on my angle trowel, and unfornately it bent, but skimming opposites seems to be workin just as well as using the angle trowel, as your always workin up to a solid angle, make sure u get all ya hollows...

ull hav to let the hardwall set in abit then u shud devil float it mate, to create the key for skimming,....as u wud do with bonding,no need to pva it mate aslong as u dont leave it to long...if uve skimming browning b4, its pretty much the same process, first coat ya wall, no need to flatten...

ye i kno mate, i kno they hav guiders, buts its a pain in the a*se when ya workin at speed n ya need 2 precisley place the stapler on the bead where the guiders r to hit the hole, im not sayin that they rubbish pal...by no means.....but id just rather stick my beads or nail em, like i sed each...

well...in my opinion pal....just put a fair dose of water proofer in ya scratch coat, leave atleast 24 hours...dampen down, then top coat, then finish how eva ya want if ya want ya cud put some waterproofer in ya top coat..just to act as a plasterciser. but thats not a must hope tht helps pal ;D

hi mate we used to use a heavy duty stapler, i cud neva really get used to it. but some of lads still use it...its abit of a task trying 2 postion the stapler so tht the staples go the holes on the wings of ya bead.but each to there own...

alritey ;D u cud always pi*s in ya water..or use dirty water pal....that always increasing ya setting time of any plaster...if not id say about 1 1/2 to 2 hours simples :)

of course pal...no worries... its like pva but it has like grit in it (sand or wateva)...so ya skim will key to the wall.u need to apply 24 hours b4 ya skim the wall though, thats the only down side is it only one wall ya doin pal?? coz thistle bond will set ya back about 35quid plus vat thats...
