Hi folks,i was on site yesterday to plaster a conservatory.I was told that it was fine to apply bonding coat straight over the installation panels that were already plugged on and then to skim over the top afterwards.I was'nt too sure if it would work as it was just 18mm thick installation...

Rather spend a day getting it off using proper solutions,always do a proper job than a half job

Hi they folks,just measured up and give a price on a job of a house.Its 72m2 top to bottom and ive priced it £500 includes £50 for materials.Give the client a quote and waiting for a reply.I was told that two other plasterers came round and made a quote but i could'nt find out,but wait there...

No mate,what i mean is that with the prices flutuating everywhere its hard to beat a quote thats already being giving on a job soo would'nt it be easier if for example if you had a 20m2 ceiling to skim would'nt it be better just to price 2 bags at a set price to beat the original quoted price...

missing the point of what i mean,per bag is ten m2 coverage and the prices are flutuating up and down the country as ive heard its something like £9-£10 per 1m2 up in Scottland soo with having that much of a difference in £££s per m2 up and down the country some jobs are best with a bag...

Alright they gang,i know that somone nmentioned on here that the price work rate up in Scotland is high,but we all know that there's too much competition these days with the building trade being soo glum.Just wondering how much is a bag rate(10m2)where u work or live?used to be £70 a bag years...

Like it Airborne mate,funny enough was thinking of stamping my name on me trowels too,obviously stamping would fxxk and great MT trowel soo i just heated a old screwdriver and etched in me name into the handle.Have to keep all yeah tools marked these days,had a couple of dcent trowels going...
