Not everyone wants to go back. I am enjoying this time off. And even if you go back there is hardly any s**t anywhere. Better letting bg start up again for a month because as soon as pallets arrives they will be wiped out. And they will not re deliver until next slot. Site bashers like Algee will need to bung site agent to keep all the gear for him.

I've got 3 half big plots loaded mate.
no one else is allowed to skim on my site (y)
no room for them :numberone:

my brother site on the other hand has no materials
but 5 plots just need first fix plumbing.

start up rules will be 1 man per plot...

then in a month back to ...
get it done quick.

it is aggro when you got to go back and snag their shite when “ they are too busy else where “ not being snobbish your asked mate so I told ya.
They do a week in hand and the firm I was doing 90% of my work pay ever Friday so been lucky in the aspect, so didn’t really have to pay them as I was always paid first.
So going back to my ‘ naive ‘point to you , some blokes are not in the same position as u that get paid first before u pay ur blokes . He might be 25 years old, young family and some one owes him 15/20 grand . I’m 55 and that would worry me

harsh words ashley,i have no doubt your father worked through a recession, but this is much more serious then that, you can not compare the two, although i am not working everybodys cicumstances are different regarding going back to work,i would never criticise them,..pressure from builders /contracts signed to be finished on a certain date/personal financial circumstances etc etc,and finally an insult to those people with your last comments

i worked through it , when the banks crashed in 09

I understand your point but still at 25 and earning decent money you shouldn’t be living week to week IMVHO

Not so long ago I thought I was a premiereship footballer , not giving it the large , but f**k I was having it off , but spent the lot taking my family all round the world , every corner,
Ye pal got to live within your means..I deffo do that,I'm really good at saving aswell which helps,I'm also a tight b*****d

it was 08
how do you keep lads employed mate with 3 monthes off work

they aren’t employed mate as said in another post, they’ve both worked on sites for me this year up till lockdown and about 6/7 months of last couple of years, they shoot off to do their own stuff if it comes up or we go quiet, they’ve just got their rebates they are sniffing gear and drinking beer in their gardens loving life atm

It's like in news saying 50,000 cancer sufferers will die if lockdown lasts 6 months, its a joke, open up everything and protect the old and vulnerable and let rest get on with it till a vaccine is found, yes we will prob get it and some healthy people will die but every f**k**s guna die anyway,I e got asthma and so has my wife but it just dosnt sit well with me this lockdown

i also worked through it ashley, but this a totally different thing to a recession,

Too right. I started my current business in 2009 and the recession did me a favour rather than caused a problem because most of the cheap builders fell by the wayside.

why am I naive ?? I’m a 40 year old grown man, been plastering for 20 odd years .home owner, have few blokes work for me , father, worked through a recession before. If your a spread and your not earning over 3k a month you are not a proper spread imho, and if you earn 3k a month and can’t afford a couple of months off your a fcking dummy who’s spunked the money on something meaningless.
also anyone working is still a scab and s**t house

I think it's that bit which is attracting the naive comments. That "something meaningless" could be a rental property, and fix up and sell on property, a new van or machinery, etc. All good investments in their own way, but all need significant money putting in which is (as with any investment) heavily loaded at the front end long before any payback is acheived.

I know I was just wondering why he said Naive and was explain I was a grown man not a young lad

As above, you assume everyone's position is like yours but there are many other circumstances to consider.

I really cant see domestic work kicking off until theres a vaccine, damage is done with a load of scaremongering theres no way mrs jones or mrs Patel are guna be letting tradesmen in there house, not a chance, might get a few inquiries but wont be enough to sustain
[/QUOT
You could be right but up here in Scotland there’s not as many Ramadanamam patels Thankfully

Agreed but all my argument or opinion is if your taking home a grand a week or have all these options available like holidays from bills, universal credit and 80% grant you shouldn’t really be struggling and using that as a excuse to keep working that’s my opinion, and I’ll stand by it.

I'm not sure who that's aimed at, but I'd be genuinely interested to hear why you think all contracts would be void? Because there are a few well defined reasons a contract would be void under UK law, and none of those apply to the situation with Covid 19 and working.

You can of course breach the contract but you would still be liable for either fulfilling the contract or would be sued for the cost of fulfilling the contract plus additional costs incurred.

No one in particular mush
However if anyone believes in the virus & contracting through others
He/she should not consider any work
Period
I can bet any contract could be ripped. Up due to the CV
You could create hysteria just like the media

Your welcome

You are of course welcome to your opinion, even if it flies in the face of facts explained which have been several times, and prove it to be a sweeping statement which doesn't stand up to scrutiny.
