Again , very naive

why am I naive ?? I’m a 40 year old grown man, been plastering for 20 odd years .home owner, have few blokes work for me , father, worked through a recession before. If your a spread and your not earning over 3k a month you are not a proper spread imho, and if you earn 3k a month and can’t afford a couple of months off your a fcking dummy who’s spunked the money on something meaningless.
also anyone working is still a scab and s**t house

Yea like u ssid ur 40 years old , bit harder when ur 25 years old just starting life’s journey

I think it's that bit which is attracting the naive comments. That "something meaningless" could be a rental property, and fix up and sell on property, a new van or machinery, etc. All good investments in their own way, but all need significant money putting in which is (as with any investment) heavily loaded at the front end long before any payback is acheived.

Not everyone wants to go back. I am enjoying this time off. And even if you go back there is hardly any s**t anywhere. Better letting bg start up again for a month because as soon as pallets arrives they will be wiped out. And they will not re deliver until next slot. Site bashers like Algee will need to bung site agent to keep all the gear for him.

I really cant see domestic work kicking off until theres a vaccine, damage is done with a load of scaremongering theres no way mrs jones or mrs Patel are guna be letting tradesmen in there house, not a chance, might get a few inquiries but wont be enough to sustain

That £3k after tax I'm taking your on about..that's bottom line minimum you should be earning, and that's a 30 hour week in my eyes

Tbh imago, I wanted my mrs to bring up our kids , I grafted 7 days a week for years and years so she could stay at home ,my daughter even thought I lived elsewhere cos I was never home thru grafting, one income, 2 babies under 2 , big mortgage, No holidays for god knows how long, this pandemic, not working, would of ruined me for sure , government hand out or not

If uve got a few geezers working for you , and u live in Portsmouth, I hope u have got a palatial detached house , new van , Mrs new car , and 3 foreign holidays a year ? Otherwise it’s you that’s the dummy mate !!!!

Trade point is quick and easy login I found today. Paint, compost and some fillers but no plaster anywhere around me. I'm at home itching to get back to it. Decorating and jobs at home. Not very motivated though but I believe we've had virus and survived, but that means nothing. Financially I'm sinking faster than I expected but trying not to spend. There it is. Can see any domestic work happening this year. Only emergency and possible sites opening up. If you can turn a buck then take your chance but until phone starts ringing with enquiries we are stuffed. Mine ain't making a sound
agree with you in almost everything you say wayners,..but we have not had the virus and survived,...this is just the start, its going to be with us for a long long time, look after yourselves and your families everybody

Well it is important really , cos if ur employing blokes , paying them before u get paid, the worry of actually getting paid yourself , then I would expect the trappings of that ! Or is it just a snob value that u can say to friends and family I employ blokes When in all seriousness u only employ them a few times a year , I personally don’t want the aggro of employing anyone , been there , to much agg!

Not so long ago I thought I was a premiereship footballer , not giving it the large , but f**k I was having it off , but spent the lot taking my family all round the world , every corner,

it is aggro when you got to go back and snag their shite when “ they are too busy else where “ not being snobbish your asked mate so I told ya.
They do a week in hand and the firm I was doing 90% of my work pay ever Friday so been lucky in the aspect, so didn’t really have to pay them as I was always paid first.

harsh words ashley,i have no doubt your father worked through a recession, but this is much more serious then that, you can not compare the two, although i am not working everybodys cicumstances are different regarding going back to work,i would never criticise them,..pressure from builders /contracts signed to be finished on a certain date/personal financial circumstances etc etc,and finally an insult to those people with your last comments
