lol Irish you sure 5 metres is enough i'd go 10 m8 just to be sure.

I think I saw you in you van the other day driving through Bristol...Is your company name called 'JUST COVER IT OVER'?

I'd get a structural engineer around. It seems to me it needs underpinning at the very least. Probably a better option would be to excavate the area and pour a concrete raft under neath with piles going down at least 5 metres. When the concrete has set I'd put up a nice trellis fence with some lovely bushes.

Or you could render it

Might be worth getting English Heritage involved or atleast speak to planning, them trees growing out the side of it might have a preservation order on them.

I do like a nice bush, its so natural. Has to be neatly trimmed though. And clean, don't like a smelly one with bits of bog roll stuck in it etc.

I'm gonna get my engineer mate to have a look at this on google earth. I can see Dominic Littlewood investigating this one, bungling builders cut down forest in Bristol wall.

Unlikely m8 last I heard Dom had gone into porn using the name 'DOM BIGWOOD'

so whats the crack?
within the space of 24 hours
"Ok so I had a look a a job today"

"Yes i'm doing both sides"

"I need to know the rendering solution now if there is one to price it."

"Chances are i'm going to turn this one down"

"Any1 here can have the job if they want, I'll pay £200 a day"

"I'm quoting on it think it will be a goer"

"I'm not touching it until render has been removed and wall has been looked at by surveyor."

what a load of b*ll***s

Perfect example of the decision making process, Have you ever thought of giving up plastering Flynny, I reckon you would be good at taking minutes in meeting and s**t. Use those b*ll***s of yours to think it over.

Perfect example of pricing a job, getting it then wondering how the **** to do it lol

Flynny you really are no better than an internet troll, what started as a perfectly legitimate thread, has been turned into a complete cock fest because of your bitter weasel attitude, like so many other threads on this forum that you have destroyed.

I want to make sure that the customer has the best job, something that is going to last rather than just crack in a few months time, which I have seen on so many of these garden walls, so thats why I wanted advice.

BTW that job is a walk in the park for me I'd knock both sides out in a day.

Thanks Steve for advice.

LOL you so remind me of oasis he was another bloke who thought he knew everything but knew fuckall, he never had a sense of humour neither. You got atleast 10 solutions which you never took any notice of now your knocking the render which you was told firstly. If you took any notice on this forum you will see most threads turn into a cock fest as you call it and its not usually down to me. (pitty). I know your not oasis coz ive been on your site and i know your not a plasterer coz ive seen your gallery ;)

Flynny you are such a c**k, I really don't care what you think, I am a plasterer and a f**king good one, this wasn't a question about how to plaster, its was a question about a solution in regards to materials etc for this wall. All you do is belittle people on this forum, its goes beyond banter, its a deep inner hatred you have. When I ask a question I want sensible answers, not some c**k saying oh well on the first day of college we were taught etc...how childish is that? I don't understand where this hatred comes from? If you go on any other forums e.g tilersforums newbies in the trade are welcomed with open arms and given clear, concise advice.

I haven't updated my gallery for about 3 years and there is nothing wrong with the photos on there, the proof is always in the pudding. I don't advertise, 90% of my work comes from the trades, I've never had a callback and I've got loads of verified references online from satisfied customers.

I've met many plasterers over the last 5 years, and even though I did a course I am 100% sure I will never have a problem getting work as 98% of them were rough c**ts you probably also fall into this category.

Children

For fckus sake.

The whole lot of you on this thread are completely, utterly and entirely fckuing useless; there is only me who has a fckuing clue. That is the most polite a way I could find of saying this.

Typical expat with to much time on his hands sitting about drinking allday wondering who he can wind up next.

Alright Bod. I'm quoting on it think it will be a goer, re building a couple of walls at the front of the house this is just another part of the quote you interested?

I would love to get off site mate and do a bit of domestic but I got a long run at the moment mate, so tied up till at least June-July at the earliest but by the looks of things it will be a knock down job I had the same with my walls on my house the mortar was pretty much soil with plants growing out of it, didnt take long to knock down and rebuild either.

Many thanks Bod this is exactly what I thought I have the bricky coming out Wens to take a look. I still really need a hand during the week. I've had a few lads on with me but not happy with any of them, if you know any1 on domestic who is mustard pls let me know.

I'd still be interested on jumping on site if you are doing mono or acrylics at some point for more experience, maybe even a freebie for experience :)

Yeah no worries mate my brother does domestic work but he also does a lot of build as well i can pass on his number to you if you want mate he has a little crew of workers as well.

"When I ask a question I want sensible answers" well do you now, what do you think this place is a reference library?
" newbies in the trade are welcomed with open arms and given clear, concise advice" They are on here too, but Your not a newbie you have over a thousand posts and already think you know it all. Give your head a shake young man youve only been in the game five minutes youve not even entered the field yet xxxx

I can feel a long winded one coming up :RpS_laugh:

I'm worried Irish, well not much really, but a little, here I am trying to bring a change of subject and I'm only offending lucius. Should I give them a long lecture (Flynnyman and FreeD that is).

Being expat I spend 8 hours a day drinking, cutting and pasting etc. I'm too busy to be retired.
But can I take over from Uncle Alan for a while? Please say yes.

Flynny just give it a rest now, Its not constructive in anyway at no point did I ever give the impression I know it all. I've always asked for advice on here and have been very thankful to the people who have given me constructive advice over the last 5 years. In your eyes i'll never be a spread, although I already am one and make a good living from it. I'm never going to know it all, but will just constantly try to improve on what I do know. Fortunately I have a good network of helpful tradespeople around me locally. Forums can be a very good reference especially for newbies using search, the tilers forums are brilliant for that.

Its simple Flynny if you are going to be a c**t don't bother replying to my posts, its not going to help. I suggest we leave it here.

Lucius, Irish and I have taken over this thread in the interests of civilised behaviour. If you cannot conduct yourself like gentleman I shall report you to a prefect. .
