I've got some garden walls I'm doing, we've used MS-20 but didn't think it would dry enough to be done in 1 day so have done it as a scratch coat method
Anyone else do this and also does the base coat need to be fully dry before we 2nd coat?
I have around 15m2 of Weber to do, no base coat and done in two passed at 15mm
Is it an overnight job or early start late finish.
Plan to bead it all up then do it the following day
When did they stop making them 90 degree, absolute joke to get on nowadays, have a job full of alcoves and small returns and it's an absolute nightmare with these beads
Debating using these on my house as I want my music on at a reasonable volume without the neighbours complaining
If i dog and dab my kitchen with them will it make much of a difference or am I just pissing in the wind with them?
1st time doing this as I find hp-12 pretty s**t but I have to use it on a job,
Obviously it's base and then mesh but would I be best leaving this to dry fully before doing the 2nd coat of base or would the next day be ok? Always find base coat bubbles/blisters in this weather in TC
I know what OCR stands for but I've always found them better with the traditional method of a scratch coat to even out surface and then a top coat another day.
I have a job on Saturday that needs doing in a day it's only around 18m2.
What's the best OCR to use, I've only used K-mix before...
I'm sick of looking at times now. This is for my own house but I'm unsure to go for a Victorian/pattern tile for the floor with metros or a grey slate efect tile on the walls.
What are most people going for?
Another option would be grey set upstairs
Metro with pattern downstairs. I like the...
Got a re wire at mine at the moment, the spark has had to do some alterations.
Is it right to charge for 2 points for a double socket?
He's quoted £100 per double socket
Has anyone used this, got a few walls in a spare room at home that ideally I don't want to knock off but they have loads of tiny hairline cracks, the plaster itself is pretty solid but as I said just has hairline cracks.
Can anyone recommend what to do with these, plthe DPC on the outside of the house is lower than these but I'm worrying about damp coming through the floor. It's too deep to dot and dab over them as the boards would be 3-4 inches off the wall
It's my own house too so I definitely can see it from...
Rendering over concrete panels, any ideas on what to use for this?
In an area where most use K-rend and want to see the Krend branded bags. Can scrim and pin it as the panels are only about 10mm thick in places.
SBR - HPX and then K1?
Or for thin coat
SBR - HPX - hP14 then TC?
Already had a firm but split with the partner so just set up again and started a fresh.
Any sites people recommend for advertising or helping out with the websites SEO?
Thanks
Just quoting for a job, we haven't done OCR before as we have always gone down the s+c route but sick if the problems with it now
What's the best brand webber or K-rend Kmix?
How many bags per m2, is it 10 or 15mm depth?
Madmonk do sig or buildbase sell it local to us and if they do how much...
My mum and dad have just had a new shower fitted but have got some marble style boards on the shower area and now all the walls look well out if level and tiles look Pissed
Could I gypbond the tiles and bond the walls out and then re-skim?
Have looked at a job today with 7n block and all he was arsed about was the cheapest method, he was happy with our meter age price labour wise
S+c, cheapest but will need painting
Thin coat, can this be put on at 6mm, spoke to wetherby and they said it's OK but does anyone have any experience...
We have a job to do and are deciding to do s+c or a premixed render, we normally do scratched /thin coat systems and s+c but want to give this a go
Is it OCR or Kmix that we would use, also does this system go on the same as s+c (scratch and top) or just 1 coat then rub up?
Cheers
We have been dealing with a rep for Johnstones who isn't too clued up on what he is selling so I thought I'd ask on here.
I've a job that needs doing in a scratched finish at 10mm beads, Johnstone say they guarantee for this but I wanted to ask on here does anyone know if the key coat primer...
I've got 2 ceilings to skim tomorrow so I went round today to check they were all stripped on the way home and one has a very shiny surface, he needs them finishing tomorrow, anything I can do to avoid gypbond?
Score it and a couple of strong coats of Pva or is it not worth the risk?
I've been getting K-rend from build base however our local one has shut down now m, then switch he'd to Travis who are constantly sending out the wrong stuff.
Can anyone recommend a decent supplier in the north west, are rendit any good?
Thanks
I have one booked for tomorrow but I'm struggling to confirm the address, is it 'Wetherby Building Systems Ltd - Unit 4, Withins Road, Haydock Industrial Estate, Merseyside' or is this just head office?
Thanks
Dies anyone know anywhere I can find these online or have an app to make my own for a few jobs?
Never had to do one before but I presume theres a template I can use somewhere?
Cheers
Not had a new trowel for ages so had a look on refina site, currently using a s*p*r*lex but it's had better days but now they do a finaflex (is this just a solid Marshall town premium style?) And a s*p*r*lex 2, any advice in which is best to go for?
Thanks
It's a bit s**t isn't it?
Had to remove a board the other day and it had no take on the board what so ever, this was after a few days of being up to, also had a head fall off today
Never had any problems with BG adhesive
