Had a small Saturday job today to sort this crack out

Started chiseling it out and discovered this!

It is an extension onto the original house. I was able to get my hand right thru to the outside!
 
It's a builders problem now!



I thought about doing a magic mix of bonding 60 and unifinish to fill the gap then another coat of unifinish, but customer didn't want to go to that expense so they are going to knock extension down and rebuild

I've spotted the elementary mistake made by the original spread.......no rolled up paper in the gap!!..........pffft......this trade is going to the dogs....;)
 
@Fatarm posted something similar a few year back as I recall. He might still have the pics of the before ( a small crack) and after ( a massive hole in the waaal)
