Started chiseling it out and discovered this!

It is an extension onto the original house. I was able to get my hand right thru to the outside!

I thought about doing a magic mix of bonding 60 and unifinish to fill the gap then another coat of unifinish, but customer didn't want to go to that expense so they are going to knock extension down and rebuild

I've spotted the elementary mistake made by the original spread.......no rolled up paper in the gap!!..........pffft......this trade is going to the dogs....
