no i know you ca'nt use it ryanwart because it is gypsum. i was wondering why. the science. just so i know why you ca'nt. i have been studying damp proofing you can get dri wall in a lot of independent builders merchants but that is also about half gypsum so i would not use that. from what i read about sand and cement i would rather use renovate plaster or lime so it can breathe
 
if the customer is paying then why not use renovate plaster form what i have read about it you can skim with multi the next day so you do'nt have to wait the week it will not get crazing and condesation because it is not cold like sand and cement and any damp already in the wall will dry out quicker. so it is a quicker job and quicker money
