Any good tilers on here. Being offered a tiling job I'm not one for being a jack of all but I fancy a change.

Put adhesive on the tile not the wall
Use carpet tacks for spacers not the shop bought spacers as tiles are not perfect. Tack is wedge shaped and infinitely adjustable

Same here m8 I can do a perfect job. A tiler would of finish days before me. Make a wage out of it and be proud of the job!

Took me about 3 months to do bathroom lol. Though I was working and they were porcelain so had to cut em outside .

A plaster like your self should of sorted that before starting ha!

large format usually need back buttering as well. I’ll put adhesive on back sometimes, especially when there’s lots of cuts to do as you’re going up the wall.

yes. Getting the right size notch trowel important to. Bigger the tile, bigger the notch...to a point.

no quarry tile had to lay s/cment screed then tile over that all beaten into place with a block of 3x2

I know thats what they used to do in bathrooms tiling on screeds seen that loads
