Skimming bullnose corners

Any tips on the best way to do this gratefully received. The walls are boarded and finished 50mm short at the external corners with a bullnose corner formed with bonding.

Is it just a case of skimming over them freehand or do folks use bullnose trowels or sheets of plastic…?

It depends. If you've used a bullnose trowel to shape the bonding, then you can use it to trowel up the finish, along with some plastic sheet.
If you've formed the bullnose freehand, then you'll almost certainly have to skim it using just a trowel (s) and some plastic sheet.

I carry one of these.

They're adjustable

£24 many years back.

I thought it was too expensive back then, but I had a lot to do.
You can form your own using an old bucket or lid......

A bag can be effective for final stages.

There are other options available now too.

Looking at these two available, You can see how easy it is to form one..........

Now that looks like a great bit of kit if you have a reasonable amount to do.

Thanks guys. I formed the bullnose corners using a piece of 50mm kingsman with the profile cut into it ….then finished it with a plastic bag. I think I’m going to be best freehanding the skim and then finishing with either a plastic bag or perhaps trying to make a similar tool to the ones you’ve linked to

If I remember correctly have. Google for trimtex they do a few plastic bullnose beads for skimming
Bullnose has already been formed with bonding
