Second coad seperated & all gone to c**k lol

Hi Everyone.
I'm a chippy, but have done a Small amount of skimming/plastering over the last 10 years.
I don't do loads but have skimmed my fair share of walls & ceilings if they weren't thay big & my plasterer was too busy.
Anyway.
Been a while, so noticed that the finish now has a green label saying "New fastest finish 50% faster" (& add to the fact its hot the day it does go off quick lol)
Anyway.
Just done a small boxroom ceiling & when going to do a final trowel the second coat is separating from the 1st coat & now looks a right f***king mess so I've left it!
Never Ever had this happen before, so will.it be OK if I just leave it for the day, stick a coat of PVA on tomorrow, & just skim it again?

That green label is advertising for fast set finish which is completely different product. Multifinish is all the same as it was and set time is about 2h in summer.
Fastest finish comes in white bags not the orange standard ones.

The multifinish is the usual pink colour.
But yeah makes sense what you say about it setting too much to accept the second coat.

Will it be ok to PVA it tomorrow & re-skim it, or is there a chance that the new skim will come down bringing today's 2nd coat with it?
 
Also if you struggled with final trowel and it was pealing then it's to do with temperature but most likely a breeze which makes it peel like f**k. You have to adjust angle of trowel, amount of water etc. It all comes with experience.

Ahh. Right.
I thought it was saying the finish was a new fast set. Didn't realise it was just an add lol.
Confused how it went off so quick then cos it was just a little box bedroom ceiling, & done bigger ones before??

Thanks again for the info.
Never had it happen to me before, but there's always a first lol.
It p***ed me off, & ended up telling customer I would call back k on Sunday & re-skim it.
In your opinion, will putting a coat of PVA on it & re-skimming be ok? My concern is if it comes down with today's second coat attached?

Didn't take any mate.
Plastering was part of works to the property I'm working on & my plasterer is stowed off & was too busy to get there, so being a little ceiling I was more than confident I could just skim it myself (or at least usually am?)
All ceilings that are being plastered have been re-boarded, so was put onto new plasterboard. Should have been nog standard easy skim?
I went to do a final trowel, & ended up leaving it after it started separating.
I started the last trowel in the corner I started from.
I realise it's probably not much help without the pics though?

Actually separating or just tearing?
 
Mate, I plaster lofts in hot weather, last week I had to cancel it. I did few walls and it was peeling like crazy and cracking. If there's heat in the ceiling it'll be drying it much faster. Combine that with hot breeze through the window and you have no chance if you not used to it. Your best bet is to skim it again but it'll be again drying fast so use sbr neat instead of pva.

Meant to add.
Not something I would usually use unless I had to do a big ceiling (which I wouldn't do lol) But is it worth using a sachet of that "Extra time" stuff?
I'm guessing it's something most of you yourselves wouldn't need, being fast at your job unless, it was a Big ceiling. But is it worth me adding one?

Did you check the date on the side of the bag.
