Hi im just wondering if it would pay to do a rendering course as i get asked occasionally to do jobs and turn it down from not having the experience.

I have my nvq level 2 solid plastering from the company i sub'd to had the assessors out and we did it that way. Ive never done rendering only a very small bit with some other older guys and not enough. Most of the time the company had another firm in to do it and the machine plastering so we never really touched it.

Any way i would like to learn rendering and the machine / monocouche rendering is it ideal to do a course or not. Would you say its a waste of time and money?

Only genuine comments no numptys as there's loads on here

I could ask around see if any ones doing any. I only do it part time now and my own jobs as I've came out of it as a full time job when recession hit. If I got In touch with a local firm that specialise In rendering do you think they would let me tag a long I have cscs card?

Same as a lot of us mate don't really know what the big firms are like but I'm sure a lot of lads here can help where about u from lot of talent in this site

Not to my knowledge.work with a firm and start down the ladder carrying buckets, loading machines to get to know different materials.
You can then start floating up and watching the pros.
You'll be lucky getting a start local as I wouldn't be keen training up some one who I'm a few years could be competition and pricing jobs silly with no vat to include(plenty of them down my way)
This is they only way

agree with that... far too much to learn when it comes to rendering... too much can go wrong and when it does its mega bucks to put it right... work for a firm and do the time

Daryl he done a course in essex and got credits toward a city and guild. Took only five days I think.

I got three days training, then took on 650 Mtrs outside . That was 8 years ago. Done over 120,000 since and never had a call back

Last weekend 6 guys trained. 4 said they thought the application would be harder. 3 ordered a pallet of powder straight away. All 5 + 1 son, would recomnend to mates and 2 are doing jobs this week.... crazy. Why didn't we do this earlier. Next course is November 7-8th Glossop.

Hmmn ! Advertising is to offer a product or service at a selling price that is over the cost to manufacturer or create with the intention to make a profit. If that's true then no I am not advertising.
In my head.....It could be compared with other guys offering work or passing work on to other members. This too could be advertising as a helper or partner taken on via these esteemed pages would also result in a profit being made as the 'advertiser' , so if thats the case YES !!!

Though it has to be said, that at the moment stone effect GB is just me. A small business without the budget to advertise. My courses simply by-passing the restrictions that the parent company in France set for new applicators to get this product and service added to there remit. Prior to this a Franchise of £0000's was the only in-road.
If I could I would offer free training but this proved to be non-productive with other services of this type (as you may well know).
After location rental, equipment and product, food, PPE equip and set up. there is no profit, so as above the answer is NO I am just asking people if they are ready for something new, ready to commit some time and money to offer unique, bespoke and profitable.

With more applicators we sell more product and eventually get the budget to advertise and then happy to pay the right media outlets.

Thanks for watching.

Pete
