Hi guys n gals ...im gonna get back into spreading in the new year,been doing it on and off past 10 years ...cards in at mo for a building co. ..but not doin much plastering..so want to go selfemployed ..NVQ qualified ....heres the question .....what the goin day rate at the moment?

The going rate is £10.50 an hour and don't book your tea.

Whenever anyone might be like that with me I ask for weekly. Focuses their little minds when they know there'll be nowt done until I'm brought up to date.

I'm like that with my biggest customer. Have to be or I'll be the last to get paid because he thinks I'm more approachable than say, the hire company.

I'm currently on stop over €90.

Yup €90. (Different €90 to the shower job)

He came up and bought tiles then sat down and told me he was a bit short, then paid me wrong and later than he said. He wasn't f**k**g short when he took his daughter shopping for tiles was he?

Then he said must be a problem with the bank and showed me a screenshot of the money sent.

Told him to resolve problem and I'll bang tiles on right away.
