Hi guys n gals ...im gonna get back into spreading in the new year,been doing it on and off past 10 years ...cards in at mo for a building co. ..but not doin much plastering..so want to go selfemployed ..NVQ qualified ....heres the question .....what the goin day rate at the moment?

f**k**g hell pal uve set a bomb off here lad...you taking piss..well if ur in mine n lurpys bracket you want to be going for anything between £240-£350 per day..if ur in John's and ritch the mongy bracket your looking at £85...horses 4 courses pal..its too varied..look fward to responses

I don’t mind it at times but I’m nearly 54 , mostly private price work these days , builders are too slow to pay , I’m owed from two builders since September

@lurpak dkesnt even put kettle on for £350.

This is what i do joking apart.


Walk in to middle of room look about . Get a price in your head . Tell em you.ll text em later .
Now comes the times it by part.
This is the part you think how busy you are how much you really want job. That determines what you press next on the calculator after job price x ..........

Examples
1 You got f**k all on and kids are wasting away and wifes gonna f**k off with plumber down street . So its price x 0 plus use any gear in van to keep price down.

2 your stacked out and really dont want to go do a artex ceiling where you have to roll n stroll every where and clean up etc . So its price x 50 then you send some one whos on example 1
