Plastering courses???

We found that with the really slow B2 we could get a pretty decent finish, just more effort to achieve it. The flash setting B3 is another story. Two big stairwalls and a decent sized double vault ceiling and we're no at all happy with the finish, even if both the decorator and the client are.

I usually go to board finish in winter but it’s been short dated everytime I go in. Board finish in the early 2000s was a dream, 2 wet trowels and you didn’t even need to think about it again. Just mix up spread and go.

Even with the semi-decent Multi we usually get we finish it with two well timed passes, but we're not interested in anything but a matt finish.

Got a bad one at the minute, stays soft till it goes brown. Have to get it flat, leave it till it goes off then dig the flex out to trowel it. Mt still pushes it around if you try to use it. Shite like chewing gum, draggy. B2 stuff
Ive had that...its a mare, parts brown and parts still wet and tearing with any amount of pressure....got bits tearing while other bits are brown...makes me sad

We picked up some fresh bags from Wickes yesterday morning, dated 6/3/26 and they went just like you've described. First coat was brown by the time we'd laid in.

B G producing ever worsening Multi and Board, is the reason I packed the game in.
The games always been hard work, but it got even harder, sometimes impossible to leave a good finish with the s**t they were producing.

I’m doing a bathroom/hall/kitchen refurb at mo. New ceiling in bathroom and half tiled walls, skimmed up lovely. Friday did the little hallway (week later) and although mainly over skim it was a pita. Just thought it was me, but everyone’s banging on about it. Checked the batch today as a bit left in a bag and it’s B2.
