Plasterer issues, advice?

Hi all, hope this is in the right section.
I'm in the process of having some plastering done at the moment, I haven't been very happy with the work so far, can I have honest opinions on the work and what I should do, I don't want to ask the plasterer to stop mid job or refuse to pay if that's unreasonable, however I don't seem to be getting anywhere talking to him, for instance I voiced concerns to him multiple times regarding the board gaps and he assured me he was going to fix them with board and adhesive them in.. yet he hasn't he's just put skrim tape and attempted to skim over the top

Also he has covered my house in dust mixing indoors, including putting one bumpy coat of hardwall on in a room that the kids are using whilst the other room was cleared for him, miscommunication maybe as that was the next part of the job (said we'd do it in sections..).. all their stuff covered and my ex misses up with my asthmatic daughter coughing all night.

I've done small sections of plastering myself in the past so appreciate it's not easy, which is why I hired a 'plasterer' in, wanted a nice stress free week off with the kids and be mist coating by the weekend, anyways here are some pics....

Appreciate any advice.. hope I'm not being a pita customer, I've tried my best to have faith and trust that he'd have it all finished well in the end but not sure what I do now.

Thanks for the replies.

He quoted £660 for the room I wanted done first, but bought extra for second part of the job which I didn't want done yet (as everything is in that room from other...), I've gave him £218 so far as he wasn't willing to do anything after the boarding without payment, should have followed my gut then and told him to go but he assured me the board would all be filled properly and finished spot on.

He also dabbed a board to a wooden door frame, it's my understanding that these would need secondary fixings through dab into the framing,.. is that not how it's done?.. will it fall off just dabbed, wonder if it's best getting it all ripped out and starting again at this rate!

Gutted for the kids and misses more than anything, great start to holidays for them!

Sickener for you m8, but if as you said you've done a little bit yourself and must have seen other good finished walls elsewhere then you should be able to see no real deal plasterer was doing that to your walls ?
Get a proper plasterer in but go see some of his her jobs first randomly from at least a list of 5 jobs he says he's done, and talk to the customer if he's confident in his work, then bite the bullet and see if anything can be saved or redone right.
Stick your area up incase any on here near you can help ?

Don’t pay him anymore money if u haven’t already, how the hell you can f**k dabbing up on to walls is a mystery personally I’d have it all ripped out again scrim tape and plaster won’t hold those gaps out long term plus the dick can’t even cut around sockets properly get a pro mate

I do wonder what goes on in people's (@Casper ) heads when they take shiyt like this on. I mean, you get better but stretching g yourself a bit sometimes, or chewing g your lip and hoping for the best but jeez. To just run at it without a clue must take some balls.

Not up for discussion, that's shocking.Send him on his way and hold on to your money as the next "plasterer"who knows what he's doing will want paying well to rectify.

Good luck with the rest of your project.
