I have to admit ,I am clueless about them, so that softens my criticism .. Timing is the bane of my life he he ,,Hi mate,
Danny may be able to help you out here as he has a better understanding of them. From what I have been told and read the advantage of the plastic trowels is they don't need breaking in. The other bonus point in the lack of lines they leave. This though is all dependant on your timing.
Thanks JRp, at what stage should it be used, close to last few trowels?jonnny get a bit of wet and dry run it round the outside and take the corners off a little bit with it and it will be fine but i agree with the leaving lines part but i think thats to do with the handle which in my opinion makes the trowel awkward to move about as you might need it to.
as it goes i know someone else who it buying up materials from a plastics compnay who used to supply other trowels and it makeing them his own and re selling them i.e new lighter handle ss screws re-inforced around the screw hole blades come already chamfered corners rounded and has a rigid plastic sleeve to protect it all with. only problem is all this costs £20
I thought that too till I used it for a final, no drag and left a very smooth finish. Even my mate who thought they would be crap wants one now after using it.Is it worth buying a trowel purely for the last dry trowel??.........why not just use your steel trowel??
..don't forget the soft packing stuff as well :RpS_thumbup:the box they send them in, what more do you want
An adjustable hop up reasonably priced would sell wellBTW Guys I'm off to Some places in Europe at the end of the month to discuss new tools and improvements to existing ones
If there is anything you guys are really interested in or improvements you can suggest towards the tools I will see what I can do![]()

i tried cleaning my trowel a couple of times but the edge is so thin and sharp now that no matter how gently i scrape it the edges end up full of nicks and it takes ages to get them out again.
how you doin with sorting the handle out ryan??
