hand or machine applied, and it spreads forever 18mtr a bag is correct, nice gear just to change your timings trowelling up then finnish with a plazzy

You can put it on by hand, av only used it once and it went tits up cos its different to multi and flash set. Think currier has used it a canny bit. failing that Rich scissorhands should be along soon..............:RpS_thumbup:

MP finish is awesome. Takes a set or two to get used to it, but it's good stuff. Sponge or trowel.
Not designed to be polished. Nice mat finish.

What's your preferred method as experianced with it lads two coat it and a quick touch with the trowl or is there more to it ? Just looking for some knowledge before trying it..x

takes a while to get use to, fill your scrims and beads ahour before applying a 4/5 mil scim coat and dont use water until your 2nd-3rd trowel over , even with crossing you wont get a polished finish , advise is when your normal time to cross use a plazzy float better matt finish aquired that way ,hope this helps , looks good with it been white!

Hi there Builderboi

drop me a message or get on touch (details on my profile) - MP Finish is not really my specialism, but let me know where you are based and you contact details and I'll get someone to call you to talk you through it properly....

As the guys say - it is not the same set or working as BG......

It can be sprayed (where you can easily get 18m2 a bag) or hand applied (little bit less, but most easily get 13-14m2 a bag). It is a white finish, which is then easier for later painting....

Good Luck!

My Mrs hasn't kicked me out - YET....

That said...work is having me all over the place at the mo... so kind of like being kicked out...LOL

Too much longer on here and she will be claiming I have a mistress on line! LOL

Hi Builderboi, if you need any other info on the MP Finish get in touch, details on profile, mainly the initial set is between 35-40 minutes after that no different, hand applied is sponged. Quinns.

i used this for the first time today, took a couple of sets to get used to it but it went like a dream, i tried to sponge it as i thought this was how it was ment to be finished but it just tore the face to peices so on the other 2 sets just a little dabble of water and troweld it as per, it does shine up though.........in fact it got very shiney at one point had to remember to knock a wet trowel off for the next set to reduce the glass like finish

would definatly use it again, but i dnt think its readily available locally to me, id never seen it till today

i used this on a job in SWEDEN a few years back.i got the job through the forum.we could`nt source multi anywhere so he imported mp finish from germany.as said,it takes a while to get used to it but it good product to use.we hand applied which was a little harder on the body come the end of the week,as the gear is more gluey than multi.we got a system going and 3 sets a day seemed to work better for us as it sets about 30 mins quicker than multi.
wot i did`nt like about it was that when u skim up to your ceiling that you skimmed the day b4,it mark`s the finish as it is still very soft, unlike multi.
yes it does do around 18m2 which is good.did`nt use a sponge, just use as multi, less water needed.
i prefere multi though as you can just pop down and pick up the odd bag whenever needed.also cheaper but less coverage i suppose.
hope this helps
