Moisture boards

fk me lost count how many times i've said this on this forum....

what's the fkin point of putting skim on an MR board?

you can tile straight onto them

you take away the whole point of it being moisture resistant if you skim em...you might as well use standard board.

and if skim is to be put on an MR board (for example if you're part-tiling on MR and want to skim remaining areas, they need to be gritted first as MR boards contain silicone

this is to BG specs and is clearly stated on the back of the bags of multi

honestly this fkin forum....:muyenojado:

some people come on PTF asking for genuine advice and you've c**ts on here talking fkin bollox

I'm well aware of that......im on about the twatt that replied to yer

as for fixing MR I've always battened em but then again I didn't do a lot of it, my speciality was in sound-proofing but as with anything you dot n dab the sub-surface needs to be suitable for this method

i do believe though that BG's official installation video guide on MR boards state they can be dot n dabbed so I don't think you have any concerns there.

I take it from that, that I'm the c**t?
Very aggressive over abit of skim. Multi adheres fine to moisture board. Noone on here will have had or will ever have a fail on moisture board skimming straight onto it, can guarantee it.

never seen anyone pva or grit one been on hundreds of sites where the plasterers just skim them as normal I reckon you're both right on this one it should be done but probably won't make much of a difference if you don't
