Mixing SBR and PVA together

That’s what I did recently. Old chap had floated his kitchen walls out in hardwall and then was told he had terminal cancer so they got left for months.
They skimmed fine after coating them the day before with the Vince mix

Was one thick coat enough for holding back old hardwall?

I found it was. Very generous coat though. No skimping on stuff

2 sbr 1 pva and 3 water mixed together in a tub roller on and skim , tbh i normally skim it after about ten minutes, only takes that long to dry over near enough anything even paint

4sbr 2pva 6 water is better imo.

I use sparkling water it helps when shaking it up to mix better.
Works for pancakes too.

For skimming over high suction...

Yep, been doing it for years....... on the right job - which requires it.

Otherwise one or the other.
