Hi, I am a new homeowner. I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but there are not many forums regarding limeplaster. Apologies in advance if it is not appropriate and please take down my post if so.
I have recently completely renovated my room and toilet (tore down walls, rebuild partittion) and had limeplastering done by professionals. However, less than a month after the limeplaster work was done, multiple long fine cracks started appearing. They were able to touch up the bedroom's cracks but for the toilet, they persisted despite the touch ups, still staying clearly visible and occasionally even more obvious. The limeplaster company said that the toilet's limeplaster requires a layer of sealant and hence they can't touch up as well as the cracks in the bedroom.
It is about 6 months now and and more long fine cracks are appearing in my bathroom. Prior to starting, the limeplaster company did warn that there may be some small imperfections/cracks but I did not expect it to be this bad.
I am not sure if I am being taken for a ride by the limeplaster company or there is certain level of imperfection to accept with limeplaster work? I would greatly appreciate any input.
Best regards
Kreyke
