I’m doing up my house and having k render as a feature wall. Can I k render on to plasterboard if sbr’d Or does it have to be render board

You can’t use cement over gypsum.

If you really want to you could use a render grip type product.....
You could also make an sbr slurry to go over pb

So plasterboard as normal the make sbr/slurrycoat then Krend over the top
