fixing hardibacker boards

I have a bathroom to prep ready for tiler.
3 of the walls are on to studwork so no problem. the 4th wall is random/pretty rough stonework though surprisingly plum.
can hardibacker type boards be fixed using dri lining adhesive or do I need to go with manual fixings or even a combination of both.

Dab em on mate then make sure you secondary fix em I use the weedi washers an screws

Make sure you pva the back of the boards, I put some of these on a few weeks ago, they sucked all the moisture out of the adhesive and fell off. Ended up taking twice as long.

Dan you will need to secondary fix em mate cos of the weight aswell
