putting up some bottle cove with the lip top an bottom im ok with two ends of the room where the timber joists are for screwing into what about the 2 walls where ther is no timber is a case of fixing screws through the bottom into the brickwork cheers just want to make sure its secondry fixed with screws thanks

yeah should be fine just drill a pilot hole and plug then ease the screw in gently

use a saw and cut the existing coving at a 45 then yours should but up, will be some filling and carving to do but if you have joint rules then it shall be fine to do.

thats what i thought was goin to cut the new piece at 45 then cut out the scribe surley that will fit over the exsisting with a bit of making up

fibrous cornice deffo needs some screws in mate. also make sure there silver self tappers, if you use the black ones, they rust thru no matter how many times you paint over it!. learnt that the hard way
