I did mange to get a decent finish with this the other day. Mixed it up a lot wetter than BG, put a really tight first coat on 1mm then left it until it went firm, (time varies depending on background) don’t put second coat on until its firm. Then apply another tight second coat. I found the tighter you get it on the wall the better finish. Left it for half an hour then flattened it. Left it for another half an hour then used a flexi trowel and a lot of water. Then another half an hour water and flexi trowel again. Then polished it once it was set. I found if u put it on to thick then you can get into a bit of trouble. And don’t trowel it to much I found that really hard leaving it alone but trust me leave it alone! Hope this helps you a bit

Might be worth chucking half time in it

I've noticed the vultures have started stock piling this plaster aswell and selling it and stupid prices, little do they know not many spreads like it so hopefully the wankers are left with it
Dick Ed’s on Facebook are trying to sell it ,at £10 a bag

The bonding seems nice to spread, feels a bit denser.
The wall im doing will be mostly covered.house is empty,so it can f**k up lol.

When using the make good plaster get your water ready pour the plaster into the water and leave it for 5 mins before you mix it! I have found this really helps! Then mix it up to the consistency u want. I have been using it for a few days now and also just knowing the timings is key. Don’t second coat until first coat is firm! But iam getting good results now. The board finish is really nice stuff!

2nd Coated when the first coat is firm,,,,it set in patches, while other bits were like you just put it on.its piss the multi skim. That was not about me getting timing wrong. Totally inconsistent set.all over the shop.

It's strange gear to work with. They say wait till it turns grey to towel it off. Some areas turn grey within about 5 mins other parts, in corners on beads, literally an hour after laying second coat on were still soft. The beading around the door actually didn't set I had to leave it and tell the builder he's going to have sand it. People seem to be getting a good finish , think it needs to be clearer how you use the stuff. If you follow the how to video it's going to go to s**t

I've got some stuff to do in my own gaff going give it a go. From what I've read it sounds like that knauf stuff, cant remember the name of it, if you hit it like multi it won't work. I don't if that's right or but I'll give it a go.

Ad go myself today only on a small patch and blend in I used same mix then I didn’t flatten first coat let it dry went over with same mix ,the 2nd - that flattened any lines out I just left it after that two more trowels half hour spells with water - plenty of it n polished it lol
Yer got make sure yer bucket is not far off spotless any bits of multi it sticks out like a saw thumb in there
N don’t get the bag wet b4 hand cus it’s not waterproof

Donzo I had 1 wall that, that happened on aswell. Couple of patches just Wouldn’t pull in so had to leave it until it dried. Since that wall I have gone onto bonding and plasterboard and it’s worked fine.Pouring the plaster in the water and not mixing It for 5 mins defiantly done something different when putting it on it was just easier to use and easier to finish It off!
Hstoke I mixed it up a bit thicker pretty much to BG consistency then 1st coat 2mm that took 30mins to pull in then second coat with the same mix the stuff started to set in the bucket after about 45 mins was unusable. i would say the thickness I had it mixed at, a bag would do 11-12sqm. Then 2 more trowels 20 mins apart. Then final trowel once it was grey.

1st coat took over a hour to go firm.it was all over the place.
It was like a map setting.
Followed instructions and watched video. On the bag it says prime plasterboard, whats that about, for multi skim.

Bags are awful.no waterproof protection.

Don’t bother with that typo error

I've just started plastering for the first time and I'm getting the same patchy results with some areas stone hard and others still wet. This is the biggest issue. 2nd coat is best when the whole thing has dried up so you can go set up a 5 course meal coz some patches will take a long time. It does smell really chemically and I can't imagine working with it all day. On the plus side if you put 17 litres of water it goes a long way, it does look nicer when dry and the first coat goes on real easy.

Onto high suction walls the stuff works perfect 1st Coat leave half hour second coat. 2 flexi trowels 20 mins apart with flick of water. Onto low suction walls it just doesn’t pull in, make good have said they have sorted this now with new bags coming out next week. So we will see. The board finish is nice aswell
