I've 'cut' WBA with pva before no prob so far!
I guess the thing to do with any product is find out if it's water based or not, if so then it's fine to thin down with water. Bit like paint really.
If you need a key, kiln dried sand mixed in with pva is normally the best way to go, I seal first...

I won't be using knauf again, gonna check the date on the empty bag as maybe out of date?

Normally glue up with board adhesive no probs, but just stuck one up in a bathroom I'm doing and the cun£ come unstuck on me!
Now I'm wondering if sticks like **** or gripfill would be better? Will the solvents melt the polystyrene?

Just coz 40mm on a plain faced block probably isn't that great! I guess also coz im sure bgyp say no more than 25mm without mechanical key..... I know that's unrealistic in the real world so thought better safe than sorry!!!
