Not being funny mate but you are sounding a bit like a 15yr old, I haven't ever met Andy or Essexandy and have only been in Essex 8yrs. I know that sandon plastering has a great reputation and has worked on sites for a long time probably longer than before you took your plastering course!!!
we...
yes sure is a waste of money having to pay someone to split bags into the machine!!!
When you say copious I guess your thinking site work?
sites would be nice but ppl do tend to want a proper job on one off outside renders, that is where I think the ritmo will pay, I have barely used mine...
I've not used ocr myself but I guess it eliminates the fact that your labourer has been on the beer the night before and lost his count forgot the lime , waterproofer etc etc
Oh and a major learning curve, I wish there could be more of a set up guide on the manufacturers bags so I can just adjust to suit straight away.
I get annoyed when it takes me half a bag to gauge the mix!!!
Lol setting up the machine is like a major check list god knows what it would be like...
Yea I've already done the air hole one lol, stuart came out to site and kindly pointed out I only had 2 holes clear on the skim set!!! I always look forward to using the machine it just puts a grin on your face when you have a good day and not had to sweat your ball bags off.
Its a bummer I love the machine when it's goin right just when it goes wrong it's the biggest headache.
thanks Stuart I think I will take you up on that, it is nice to know that after buying these machines your not left in the dark. So far the after sales support has been exceptional even advice...
Had trouble spraying parinter today, had machine on genny as normal and kept having problems with the motor not starting and getting error codes, it would drive after switching machine off for a few mins, but then it would slow down and stop and then come up with an alarm and error code again...
its a ritmo m from stuart ,who is coming to have a look Friday. It sounds like it has a loose connection or a relay not engaging properly sort of a ticking noise.
I'm hoping its not a problem I have caused in fact i'm pretty certain its not.Its just a bummer loosing a good days work with...
Hi Goody what was the actual problem with the frequency convertor? what sort of error codes were displayed?, just as mine was playing up today and I have been told that my frequency convertor may be goosed!!!!
It was a day from hell I was counting on the ritmo for this job as I was working from...
Also a thumbs up from me on the pft ritmo ,Im glad I went for this unit as anything bigger would be a pain keep loading unloading. after sales support is top notch and I know if I get a problem stuart will always help.
I acquired a 1/2 piece of nylon for a board its lasted years and the best thing about it is that you can thrash the life out of it and it never breaks or dries out
I think your wrong there mate some customers will pay for a top spec job if that's what they want!,
but there are a lot that want the cheapest possible option which we all know isn't always the best way of doing things.
1 there actually relatively cheap at £30 but make sure you have a good look before you buy to make sure you don't get a bent one!!!
2 there's different sizes for everyone's needs
I'll get some pics up when I get a chance, as you said all it is is a few bits of metal welded together although I made mine out of stainless steel:-)
was bored last weekend so thought I'd make one
Lol you won't get many tips from me at the moment, this week has been like starting plastering for the very first time using the ritmo!!!! But I'm more than happy to work along side you if you require any machine gangs
I don't do any major major sites mainly one offs and a few housing association sites which I take on the full package so i get to see what is ready or not. I know what you mean though its so frustrating when there's little bits holding you up.
not used mp75 or universal yet, I'm hoping to get...
That's a nice cheap way of doing it:RpS_wink:
we've been using 2" masking tape which does the job well.
i've not sprayed reveals (if that's how it's spelt) yet as didn't want to make to much mess and to be fair the 14 day tape I bought is more like 14 mins so we just put them on by hand with...
It's pretty crap having to buy it by the pallet load isn't it, I'd be interested to Here what you think of the mp finish as that will be the next one I will try.
luckily I'm using my free pallet from bg at the mo and ordered a fresh one from Penlaws.
im impressed with how far the stuff goes...
Lol I know you Andy or know of you:RpS_wink: . I once called you for work as we heard dunmow was starting up again.
we do fill the tapes/beads up first but spray them in and speed skim flat before we hit the whole wall/ceiling, but as currier said think a day before doing this would be the best...
Maldon Essex, no mines the ritmo m 240v. Good thinking in not turning the air off maybe this is where I have been going wrong!!!
speed 10, when Stuart was out unblocking the air holes he said he thought I was spraying it too stiff think it was speed 9 and the water was under 75 which is why he...
