Hi, what's the best base coat from KRend to go over thermolite block work, is wetting down needed, or priming with an sbr etc, cheers

I've just built a extension onto our kitchen, thought I'd give the render a go myself, always done the internal stuff myself, got some k1 top coat, what's the best base coat to use over thermalite? Shall I just wet down before hand or prime the blocks with something, cheers

I've got some S&C render where the paint has come off and the render has gone powdery, what's the best way to sort it? Hack off areas of concern and re-do or is there a quicker way, cheers

Oldroyd is on but dot and dabbing isn't an option as the board is protruding past wall finish above even without adhesive, don't fancy hacking off above to dot and dab to ceiling, can always use sand, cement, but I was wondering if it's ok to use bonding coat etc, would appreciate advice please
