Has anyone tried leaflets for generating work? I was thinking of getting a few thousand printed up then delivered around my area to see what happens. I was just interested to hear if anyone had done it and what were the results.

I did the 5 day course in Essex and it was brilliant, there was someone there when I was doing it who only did 3 days. Even Andy himself said it wasn't long enough.

Buckets are only a quid from B & Q, most of the time I sling them rather than clean them out.

I love the Nela s*p*r*lex, I've been using it for the past month and have has no problems whatsoever. I lay on the first coat with my MT, flatten with the s*p*r*lex, then second coat with MT and finish with the s*p*r*lex .

Funny enough I just recently joined MyBuilder, I got shortlisted for a job and got it today. It cost me £2 to get shortlisted and I priced the job at £300. Can anyone tell me what happens regarding paying the shortlisting fee? I'm sure I've not given them any payment details, my references...

The render wasn't manufactured solely for the company I worked for.

It was for a company called Protectacoat, they had a bad rep because of dodgy salesmen and even dodgier fitters. Does anyone use GRC render? (the grey stuff with fibreglass strands in). I used it for years whilst working for a textured coatings company but since they went tits up I've not seen anyone else using it.
