Hi All - Help needed with choosing right render on front external wall

Make that 99.99per cent hack it off, it looks crap, do a nice k rend off white render, or a cheaper way, 6.1.1 plastering sand, cement, hydrated lime, sponge finish ,then either paint or leave as it is.

    Hardwall or Bonding??

I would pva it, use Carlite Bonding to float it, then skim with multifinish, provided the existing render is sound.

    Redering over waterproof slurry

I would not use waterproofer on wall, it slows down the setting time forever and a day, dump it, plastering sand, cement, hydrated lime, 6.1.1.

    Can see plasterboard joints

In the old days b4 self adhesive scrim, spreads would put a bed of finish on the joints and stick bandage scrim onto the joints, perhaps the silly p##ck is still doing that method.

    Can see plasterboard joints

Looks like one coat skimming, not a good idea, Should be 2 coats. PVA it and reskim, scratch it on, lay it down, flatten it, trowel it up,go to the wall 5 times, simple.
  13. Q

Unsupported overboading, no ceiling joist by wall

Use dri wall adhesive, support it from floor with t-piece or similar til it goes off.
