yes ive been reading up... and it seems theres no chance of it being 20mm. Ive had another look and the old screed is only about 35mm. So theres no chance of it being higher than this. Any thoughts#

I was at a house today, the floor screed has totally delaminated from the concrete slab. Its a kitchen floor in an 1900`s house. Its about 45mm thick and is coming up no question about it. There is a concrete slab underneath that has not cracked and therefore leads me to believe...

will the wba definately hold the dabs plus boards...
and also is not a case of how strong the silk paint is. I know ive said i cant remove it but what about when its had boards dabs and skim hanging off it for a few years?

as the title says. basically im going to use 25mm celotex sheets which are foil backed. Then plasterboard and skim.
So i was thinking of fixing 25mm deep laths onto the external wall and then putting/cutting the celotex between them and then screwing the plasterboards to the laths...

just wondered how many screws per board you guys would put in and where abouts?
also would you put the screws in whilst the dabs are still wet or later on when they have set.?

Ive gota do a stairwall at someones house with some 30mm thick thermal boards and wondered if normal board adhesive is ok, ill also be putting as couple of long screws in aswell.
