how many screws and where for thermal boards?

Hey up

going to be sticking some of these on a stair wall at this customers house,

just wondered how many screws per board you guys would put in and where abouts?

also would you put the screws in whilst the dabs are still wet or later on when they have set.?

What length screws are we talking? (obviously were pre - drilling the holes?)

the last job we did them on the builder fitted them himself and did 5 on each board. 1 in each corner and 1 in the middle. what screws are you using?

Use the hammer ins what flatboy said, the last job i was on the inspector only wanted 3 but 5 is better they are only to hold the board on incase of fire fix them after if using addy but if using foam putting a couple in as you go helps hold the board till the foam takes.

nice 1 - ive got some 8 by 100mm screws somewhere. the ones similar to that link where you pop the rawplug in and just tap the screw in after...

i wouldnt use normal screws if i were you. use the proper fixings then you cant get any comebacks if it goes tits up.
