got a job to do, the wall has been dot and dabbed and skimmed but has a strip from top to bottom about 8 inches wide at one end of the wall( think a stud wall may have been ripped out or summin).
Was gonna fill the strip with bonding then skim but instead of skimming the whole wall can i just...
if your doing a reskim for someone and they want the skirtings and fixings removed do you remove them yourself cause i always find that fixings, especially skirtings, get damaged when trying to take them off.
but, if you are leaving the fixings on is there any good ways to clean them up...
my walls are always different shades and have marks here and there.
the finish is fine, nice and smooth, and looks fine when painted as well.
is this a problem or am i being too much of a perfectionist?
just got myself a full time labouring job for someone i know (at last a bit of work) and was thinking that if i get little private jobs here and there the only time i will be able to do them is at wkends or after work.
from your experiences how do customers feel about this?
i know how to kill suction on a wall mate, but this was a problem i never came across before.
and unfortunately for me i was labouring/apprentice during a credit crunch so i aint had f**k all work lately which is why i ask questions on this forum which may seem silly to an experienced plasterer...
originally skimmed onto painted wall last week, left it to dry out then reskimmed it again today.
so i was skimming onto multi finish today from last week.
really not sure, i was re skimming a wall that i skimmed last week (in my own flat) just getting bit of practice in while i got no work.
when i skimmed it last week it was over the original painted wall and i had no problems.
