Had a look at a duraflex in Barnitts in York, they also have the Refina. MT was expensive and roughly finished, have to be honest the Refina looked decent enough but waiting to see the latest Nela. My old s*p*r*lex has seen some graft as its worn into the letters on the blade (and started to delaminate at the toe, the adhesive won't ever last as long as a mechanical fixing - but it's done well)

Has anybody else got a mt duraflex?
I have the mt duraflex great trowel but it's the cheaper version not the premier line .ive had several permashape trowels but they also lose shape after 3months of constant use in my opinion this one is still flat 6months down the line.

The permashape ones are shaped like a banana though as standard... its what i started with... only use it for laying on now everything else is done with a @Speedskim 18inch and s*p*r*lex

Thanks..it's been mentioned before and I tried to see on the net if I have my facts right the duraflex you have is a basic?(£35 ish -£55)
And the duraflex premier line is £100 ish.?(if it is why is it more money?)
Am I right or wrong ...it's starting to do me head in.

I wouldn't know but I'm guessing the same the dearer the premier trowel the better quality !

Sod it I just order the basic had a look Amazon do the premier £100 ish must be from u.s.a been on Rollins it's not on there website..7 pages in on this trowel and still none the wiser.. Why don't they just stock all the trowels in the merchants like they used to.
There is an idea for me ...might open a merchants with gear people can see and touch and buy instead of all internet
Thanks

the duraflex premier is about £30 in the states. sometimes you can find them on amazon.com, not amazon uk, with the trowels being posted from canada in about 1 week.

No its not one of those two its the one i put a link up earlier in the thread and mentions the long tang, malc posted the model number in this thread as he has one but not really used it that much yet.

The link don't work and I want 14 and 16 inch..@jamesthefirst did your merchants say they can get them...this is getting harder to get than a supaflex so it must be good

Lol and your looking to buy two more, what for?
I want see how they are I got two Marshalltown I use but want to see what the difference if any is with these ..got two supaflex mark 1s not bothered about mark2 or nela premium mark 2 (for now anyway).
Funny i gave a friend a new Marshalltown i didn't use last year..worked with him before Christmas break and his trowel was loads flatter than my Mt i actually preferred it to my main one so thought a new one or two is due.
